If I have MoM but have energy shield I have to also take EB because the wording is 'taken as mana before LIFE' and without energy shield covering your mana pool it will not function correctly. Still functions, but while you have ES, the ES will take 100% of the non-chaos damage. Once you lose your ES, then the life/mana split happens normally. MoM means part of the damage you get is directed to your mana, which is protected by EB so your ES will deplete and then recharge as usual. 4. Once you have it chosen, click and drag your USB Thumbdrive from the left pane to the Destination box. (ie THUMBDRIVE in the screenshot) and then click Restore
I recommend erasing the destination, so be sure to backup any data on the thumbdrive prior to this step! This will take a few minutes to do. Once its finished, you now have a bootable OS X Lion install thumbdrive (basically just like what the Macbook Air ships with).
